Build Your Own: Ford Puts Boss Mustang Configurator on Web Site

Ready to build your own Mustang Boss 302? Ford has just the Web site for you.

Admittedly, there aren’t many options to pick and choose. The Web configurator’s biggest benefit is its ability to show what the Boss would look like with different paint and stripe schemes. In addition to hosting the entire paint palette, there are also two wheel choices. Click and pick to your heart’s content.

The 2012 Boss Mustang carries a starting MSRP of $40,995, including its $850 destination charge. Those desiring the track-ready Laguna Seca package must add another $6995.

The Boss Mustang hits 0-60 mph in just 4 seconds and can pull nearly 1 g (0.98 g to be exact). While it’s not the craziest Mustang ever, it certainly is one of the most impressive we’ve seen to date.
