As was promised, Buick has continued to reveal portions of a photo of the 2013 Encore crossover on Facebook. The company has now revealed two of four photo segments, allowing us a look at the top half of the new Encore.
The teaser photo reveals a compact crossover with gently curving lines, an upswept rear beltline, and glass that extends from the liftgate to the vehicle’s rear haunches. It is a softer design that the larger Buick Enclave; indeed, the 2013 Encore will be both smaller and less expensive than Buick’s existing crossover.
The Encore will likely have a four-cylinder engine nestled underhood, with a choice between front- and all-wheel drive. So far, Buick has only revealed that the new crossover will feature “contemporary Buick styling, signature QuietTuning technology, and segment-leading content and space.”
Buick will continue to reveal more of the Encore on Facebook for the next two weeks, before the car makes its public debut at the 2012 Detroit auto show in January.
