BMW Teases Connected Drive Concept Before Geneva

After the long piece-by-piece unveil of the 1 Series M Coupe, BMW is apparently applying the same approach with its latest concept car, set to debut at the Geneva Auto Show this March. This sci-fi like video gives a glimpse of — well, nothing other than Tron-like lights.

So far we don’t know much about what BMW’s calling the Connected Drive Concept. Could it be a version of the Vision EfficientDynamics Concept we first saw almost two years ago? Honestly, we don’t know yet, but we may be in for a surprise when the Swiss motor show kicks off. The link below takes you to BMW’s Connected Drive homepage, which essentially touts how well a BMW integrates with mobile devices. This proving yet again, the future may not look like Tron, but more like Planet Of The Apes. However, instead of big gorillas wearing biker leathers we will be controlled by sentient cell phones. Probably still wearing biker leathers.

Whatever the actual concept looks like, it appears to be the wildest vehicle we’ve seen from BMW since 2009’s Vision EfficientDynamics concept. Which direction do you think BMW’s going in with this one? Let us know in the comments section below.
