Automobile’s Hot Caddy Limo For Sale

Automobile Magazine is participating in what is sure to become one of the world’s most prestigious events: the second annual Big Apple 2 Big Easy (BABE) Rally! That’s right, a drive from New York to New Orleans.

If you know anything about the BABE rally, you know it’s not a battle against the other contestants for the finish line. No, it’s a battle against the very car that will hopefully take you across that finish line. Contest rules mandate that the vehicle entered into the rally must not be purchased for more than $250. Besides the tremendous task of coaxing a worn out car from the Apple to the Easy, there will be a variety of “challenges” to participate in along the way. Each challenge will carry a point value, and the team with the most points will win upon crossing the line.

Surely a very special vehicle is needed for such a special event. Luckily, we have just the car: a 1983 Cadillac Fleetwood Brougham Limo. Purchased specifically for this trip, this Caddy has seen it all. We even suspect it may have seen some action with the Mafia. Before its little makeover, it was black with a black vinyl top and red velour interior. The vinyl was torn back like a giant banana peel, and we found live ammunition and cigar butts on the inside. Very Tony Soprano.

Since coming into the possession of Automobile Magazine, however, our Caddy is looking considerably better. It’s had a bit of TLC to make it road-worthy, and we’ve painted it in the hopes of returning it to its former glory. Also, we’ve cleaned the interior so you can no longer smell it from fifteen feet away.

Here’s the deal: if and when the Team Automobile Magazine Caddy crosses the line in New Orleans, we want it to go to a special home. Yours! If this cream-puff of a ride is calling your name and you’d like to own a car that will be featured in the September 2007 issue of Automobile, please click over to eBay Motors to make it your own! No reserve people!
