The Audi RS6 is one of the most amazing production cars the world has to offer, and we curse Audi’s name for not offering it here. With 572 horsepower and 479 pound-feet of torque on tap from its twin-turbo V-10, it’s just dandy as is, but no matter how awesome a car is from the factory, there’s always a tuner like Sportec looking to take it to another — and often absurd — level. Two of the Swiss tuner’s upgrade packages are now available in the U.K., courtesy of Brackley-based APS, for sedan and wagon variants.
Stage Two adds a remapped ECU and sports exhaust system. Though the upgrade list looks deceivingly small, output rises to 690-horsepower and 590 pound-feet of torque. Those numbers will have the upgraded RS6 reaching 62 mph in 4.2 seconds and a limited top speed of 190 mph. Cost? $9800.
APS also has a budget Stage One upgrade for $4200. This package only remaps the ECU, but still boasts 641 horsepower and 545 pound-feet of torque. Zero to 62 mph happens in 4.4 seconds and the top speed remains the same as the Stage Two.
As shown in the surrounding pictures, APS will also be importing a number of Sportec upgrades, including wheels, brake, and suspension packages. -By Carlos Lago
