IS THAT A SMALL-BLOCK IN YOUR POCKET, OR . . . ?Ford has released a pair of cell-phone ring tones on its Web site featuring recorded audio of the Mustang GT‘s V-8. One tone plays the sound of the car accelerating from a standstill, the other, The Star Spangled Banner in all its pony-car glory.

IT MATCHES YOUR DIAMOND-STUDDED EARTH SHOESLike Chevrolet‘s Tahoe and GMC‘s Yukon, the will go hybrid in 2007. GM claims a 25 percent increase in fuel economy.

BUT WILL THEY GET THE FREE HUG?Saturns aren’t marketed in Europe, but Europeans will soon be able to buy a Saturn Sky, in the form of the Opel GT. The Delaware-built Opel uses the 260-hp, 2.0-liter turbo four from the Solstice GXP.
