With 100 years in their pocket, we can’t blame Alfa Romeo for drumming up some excitement. Hence their creation of a unique mosaic designed to not only remember a full century of cars but to look to the future as well.
The mosaic uses thousands of photographs to create an image of the newest Alfa Romeo: the Giulietta. Alfa asked current and former owners to submit their personal, treasured photos to add to the collection, then put in their own heritage images as well. After 100 years of building cars and making memories, the Italian marque had plenty of stock to choose.
“Creating our latest Giulietta model from hundreds of images sent in by fans of the brand and from our heritage really sums up what Alfa Romeo is all about,” said Damien Dally, Alfa Romeo’s U.K. brand communications manager. “Not only does the final outcome look fantastic, it is also a great piece of memorabilia to mark this special year.”
After the photos were acquired, the mosaic was unveiled on a billboard in the high-profile Chelsea district of London. The mosaic’s tagline is “We Are Giulietta.”
The last time we saw another Fiat-related mosaic, it was located on the Fiat 500 Thousandth edition.
That’s not all. Alfisti who submitted photos are set to receive a limited-edition print of the mosaic as a keepsake, a nice token and way to commit to another 100 years.
