2017 Buick Enclave Sport Touring Edition Adds Minor Visual Changes
Blink, and you’ll miss the changes.
Buick revealed a new appearance package for the Enclave three-row SUV ahead of its official debut at next week's 2016 New York auto show.
The new Sport Touring Edition Enclave features two relatively minor additions to the exterior. To create the Sport Touring, Buick added Satin Black Ice accents to the front grille, complemented by Satin Black Ice accents on the 20-inch chrome wheels.
The new package will be available on dealer lots beginning this summer in a choice of three different colors: White Frost Tricoat, Crimson Red Metallic, and Ebony Twilight Metallic. The Sport Touring package is available only on Enclaves outfitted with either the Leather or the Premium trim levels.
With the introduction of the 2017 Buick Enclave, the large SUV will enter its ninth year of production, since its introduction in 2008. Since then, the Enclave has struggled to stay up-to-date with the rapidly evolving SUV market. Buick also has a new two-row crossover, called the Envision, that slots below the Enclave in the brand's lineup.
The Sport Touring treatment isn't unique to the Enclave. The smaller Buick Encore crossover's Sport Touring trim adds a more powerful engine with stop-start, while the Sport Touring versions of the Regal, LaCrosse, and Verano sedans each receive visual upgrades.
