The 2015 Scion FR-S has more rigid front suspension mounting and retuned rear shock absorbers, which the company says reduces body roll and makes the car’s already thrilling driving experience, “more communicative.” Atop the roof, the pole-style antenna makes way for a new sharkfin antenna that is said to reduce aerodynamic drag, and at the rear, the car’s exhaust tips have been enlarged and are now flush with the bumper.
On the inside, the Scion FR-S benefits from the addition of automatic headlights, a new dashboard with carbon-fiber trim, and a restyled key. A paint color called Steel replaces last year’s Argento, and an optional $395 pearl white color called Halo replaces Whiteout.
As a result of all the changes, pricing for the 2015 Scion FR-S rises by $200. The car now starts at $25,655 with a manual transmission or $26,755 with an automatic, including destination charges.
The Scion TC also receives some attention for the 2015 model year, with steering wheel-mounted shift paddles now standard on all models with automatic transmissions. A paint color called Cosmic Gray replaces last year’s Classic Silver, and an optional $395 pearl white color called Blizzard Pearl replaces Super White. The 2015 Scion TC starts at $19,965 with a manual transmission and $21,115.
