2015 Lincoln Navigator Priced at $62,475

Although the Lincoln Navigator has been overshadowed in the bling wars by the Cadillac Escalade lately, the refreshed 2015 Navigator does have one advantage over the big Caddy: price. The 2015 Lincoln Navigator starts at $62,475 with destination, undercutting the 2015 Escalade by slightly more than $10,000.

This base price is for the standard-wheelbase, rear-wheel-drive Navigator equipped with the 3.5-liter EcoBoost V-6 engine that becomes the only engine choice for the Navigator for 2015, replacing a V-8. With its 380 hp and 460 lb-ft of torque, this twin-turbocharged engine is a big step up from the old 310-hp, 5.4-liter V-8 in terms of both fuel economy and power, and provides for the same maximum tow rating of 9000 lbs as the old powertrain. The new, more powerful Lincoln Navigator does cost a pretty penny compared with the 2014 model, though, as the starting price is $5315 higher for 2015 compared with last year.

Four-wheel drive is a $3575 option on the standard Navigator, and Lincoln will also continue to offer the extended-wheelbase Navigator L at $64,640 for the rear-wheel-drive version and $68,215 for the four-wheel-drive version. These models all come standard with new-for-2015 features like pushbutton start, blind-spot monitoring, and a MyLincoln Touch infotainment system; four-wheel-drive models also add hill start assist and hill descent control.

The only trim level above base is the Reserve Package, which adds a continuously controlled damping system, 22-inch aluminum wheels, Ziricote wood trim and upgraded leather on the seats, instrument panel, armrests and console. Standard-wheelbase Reserve Package models start at $69,975 with rear-wheel drive and $72,900 with four-wheel drive.

The 2015 Lincoln Navigator will be on sale early this fall.
