Dodge announced that the base 2015 Dodge Dart will keep its $17,490 base price, but will now be available with the Dart’s upgraded Uconnect infotainment and three new exterior paint options. With the biggest changes to the Dart SXT already in the past, the 2015 Dodge Dart continues largely unchanged compared to last year.
While the aforementioned 2015 Dodge Dart SE base price remains, the popular Convenience package sees its cost drop $620, from $1395 to $775. The package adds features like power locks, air conditioning, keyless entry, power mirrors, active grille shutters, Bluetooth capability for the Uconnect infotainment system, and cruise control. The Uconnect system is upgraded for all 2015 Dodge Dart models, which now has better capabilities for Bluetooth, voice commands, and streaming music with Android smartphone devices. The SE will still use a 2.0-liter inline-four mated to a six-speed manual gearbox.
In addition to the 2.4-liter four-cylinder and six-speed automatic previously added to the 2014 Dodge Dart SXT (replacing the 1.4-liter turbo and dreadful dual-clutch that are now relegated to the Aero model), the 2015 model receives standard 16-inch aluminum wheels, as well as a black-and-red interior for the available Blacktop package. Buyers can opt for a sportier look with the Rallye Appearance package, but also more performance with the package’s upgraded suspension, rear anti-roll bar, and 17-inch wheels. The 1.4-liter and dual-clutch transmission still come with the 2015 Dodge Dart Aero, while other non-SE models adopt the 184-hp 2.4-liter four-cylinder.
Now available in Passion Red, Laser Blue, and Vitamin C (orange), the 2015 Dodge Dart will arrive in dealerships beginning in the third quarter of 2014.
