Audi is kicking off a new ad campaign for the 2015 Audi A3 sedan, following the “Stay Uncompromised” theme that debuted with the company’s “Doberhuahua” ad shown during this year’s Superbowl. The series of one 60-second spot, two 30-second spots, and two 15-second spots will roll out over the next month as Audi prepares for the A3 to go on sale in April.
The 60-second spot is called “Dues” and features celebrities like comedian Ricky Gervais, chef David Chang, photojournalist Lynsey Addario, comedian Kristen Schaal, boxer Claressa Shields, artist Cyrcle, and even an inner-city church choir called Voices of Destiny. The ad uses Queen’s “We Are the Champions,” as each celebrity recites lyrics from the song building up to the chorus during which the Audi A3 is first shown.
The two 30-second spots are meant to highlight some of the Audi A3’s technological features like its MMI infotainment interface, 4G connectivity, and the available Bang and Olufsen audio system. The spot called “Names” again features Ricky Gervais and shows off the car’s 4G connectivity and Wi-Fi hotspot capability as a child in the backseat rattles off tweets making fun of Gervais himself. The other 30-second ad, called “Touch,” stars chef David Chang and focuses on the MMI system’s touch-sensitive controller. Finally, the two 15-second spots highlight the A3’s Quattro all-wheel-drive system and the MMI touch controller.
Keep an eye out for these Audi spots on TV and online over the next few weeks. The 2015 Audi A3 goes on sale in April with a starting price of $30,795 including destination.
