Scion will reveal another special edition of the xB hatchback at the 2014 New York auto show called the Scion xB Release Series 10.0. Like other Scion Release Series models, this specially outfitted xB offers a few visual tidbits not found on the standard xB, as well as a few technology items within.
You’ll be able to spot a Scion xB Release Series 10.0 from its interesting Electric Quartz exterior color, which sports subtle green highlights that accent the xB’s boxy exterior. The green theme continues inside, with accents stitching on the seats and door inserts. Green logos displaying the Scion emblem and various Release Series badging are projected in three areas around the car—on the driver’s and passenger ‘s side footwells and from the rear bumper onto the ground—and also can be found on the custom floor mates and illuminated door sills.
The Scion xB Release Series 10.0 also comes standard with a backup camera as part of the car’s 6.1-inch display audio system, and features a conductive wireless charging system that can power devices without plugging in.
Scion will sell 1500 copies of the 2014 xB Release Series 10.0, all of which are with an automatic transmission, this summer for $21,175—$2500 more than a standard 2014 Scion xB automatic.
