As if the 2014 Rolls-Royce Ghost ultra-luxury sedan wasn’t already exclusive enough, Rolls-Royce will be selling a limited-edition version called the Ghost V-Specification. This special model will only be offered to customers by “commission” between January and June 2014.
Rolls-Royce says that the Ghost V-Specification is meant to celebrate the car’s 6.6-liter V-12 engine, which gains 30 horsepower in this model for a total of 593 hp. The rest of the V-Specification package—which is available on both standard Ghost and Ghost Extended Wheelbase models—includes special 21-inch polished wheels, optional chrome exhausts, embroidery on the rear armrest, a steel inlay for the infotainment screen lid, and a special analog clock with a black, crown-shaped surround. Rolls-Royce has also selected five bespoke colors specifically for the Ghost V-Specification, although customers can still choose one of Rolls-Royce’s 44,000 other hues as well.
The Rolls-Royce Ghost was introduced in 2010 as a slightly smaller alternative to the enormous Rolls-Royce Phantom sedan. The Ghost rides on a modified version of the BMW 7 Series’ platform and takes its name from a long history of Rolls-Royce models like the 1907 Silver Ghost.
Rolls-Royce has not yet announced pricing for the 2014 Rolls-Royce Ghost V-Specification, but we expect it to come at a significant premium on top of the standard Ghost’s starting price of $267,300. If this exclusive model strikes your fancy, make sure to put your order soon because this Ghost V-Specification will only be offered until June.
