Carlos Lago heads to Germany on this week’s episode of Ignition to drive the latest version of what’s arguably the most iconic German car of all-time: the Porsche 911 Turbo. While in Germany, Lago meets up with legend Walter Röhrl, and takes the 2014 Porsche 911 Turbo S out on a race track.
With a four-wheel steering system, active aerodynamics, an adjustable suspension, and ceramic brakes, the new 2014 Porsche 911 Turbo is not only far more advanced than its predecessors, it packs more power too. The new 911 Turbo’s 3.8-liter twin-turbo F-6 makes 520 hp and 487 lb-ft of torque, while the 2014 911 Turbo S Lago is piloting makes 560 hp and 516 lb-ft of torque. This week’s episode kicks off with Lago riding shotgun with Röhrl in the Turbo S, as the legend shows off the responsiveness of the 911’s turbocharged powertrain.
