In addition to the tuned Mustangs, Fiesta ST hatchbacks, and Focus ST hatchbacks, Ford will bring a trio of Fusion sedans to the 2013 Specialty Equipment Market Association show next month. While all three have plenty of visual tweaks, one 2014 Ford Fusion has been upgraded to make nearly as much power as a Mustang GT.
The go-fast wizards at Full-Race Motorsports started with a 2014 Ford Fusionand bolted on a larger turbocharger, a new exhaust, and a free-flowing intake system to bolster the four-cylinder EcoBoost turbo’s output to 400 hp. Full-Race Motorsports also endowed the 2014 Ford Fusion with a lowering kit, a custom Katzkin leather interior, larger wheels and brakes, a seven-inch touchscreen Android tablet in the dashboard, and a new body kit.
DSO Eyewear also modified a 2014 Ford Fusion, starting with black paint accented by gold 21-inch wheels, mirrors, and accents. A water-methanol injection system helps the 2.0-liter EcoBoost turbo-four engine produce an undisclosed amount of additional power. Inside, gold accents, new perforated leather seat inserts, and a Rockford Fosgate sound system round out the changes.
Finally, CGS Performance Products painted a Ford Fusion in what the tuners describe as, “Henry Ford Model-A Black,” with red accents and mirrors, and a 3dCarbon body kit added for good measure. Beneath the surface are a CGS performance intake and exhaust, a H&R performance suspension, 20-inch wheels, and sticky Pirelli P-Zero tires. Ford Racing leather interior upgrades accompany a built-in GoPro video camera.
