The 2014 Ford Fiesta can now be wrapped in bacon, or at least a vinyl wrap that looks like bacon. To celebrate the upcoming International Bacon Day — August 31, if you haven’t already marked your calendar — Ford has applied the unique bacon-inspired wrap to a 2014 Fiesta hatchback.
“It’s no secret that bacon inspires a lot of passion, and that’s what the Fiesta celebrates,” Ford Fiesta marketing manager Liz Elser said in a statement. “Plus, it’s just awesome to drive down the road in a piece of bacon.”
As seen here, the 2014 Ford Fiesta is slathered in what Ford refers to as the full Bacon Wrap — a graphic of ten strips of bacon that cover almost the entire bodywork. For drivers on a diet, there are also two other vinyl wrap options: Bacon Racing Stripes, which adorn the 2014 Ford Fiesta‘s hood in the style of classic racing stripes; and Side of Bacon, a graphic of strips of bacon over the wheels.
Aside from celebrating a love of all things fatty, the bacon-wrapped 2014 Ford Fiesta highlights the company’s custom graphics options. At FordCustomGraphics.com, buyers can choose from a large selection of 3M vinyl wrap options to cover their Fiesta. Yes, you can really buy these bacon wraps.
The 2014 Ford Fiesta received an exterior face-lift that added the wide-mouth grille from the Ford Fusion sedan, as well as interior upgrades like the addition of MyFord Touch and better interior materials. The optional Special Fuel Economy package was also revised so cars so equipped now return 30/41 mpg (city/highway). Pricing for the 2014 Ford Fiesta starts at $14,795, after a $795 destination charge.
