Yes, we’re only twenty days into the 2012 calendar year – but 2013 model year Nissan GT-R models are already making their way to dealers nationwide. As a result, Nissan announced pricing for its slightly-tweaked supercar will start at $97,620, including $1000 in destination charges.
That sum buys you a 2013 GT-R Premium model — which, starting with the 2012 model, is essentially the base model in the North American GT-R lineup. 2013 models run about $6670 more than 2012 GT-R Premium models, although 2013 models do have a little more to show for it.
As we reported before, Nissan’s tweaked the GT-R’s twin-turbocharged 3.8-liter V-6 to crank out 345 hp and 463 lb-ft of torque, which is about 15 hp and lb-ft more than the 2012 model. MY13 cars also receive an updated gearbox that’s allegedly a little smoother-shifting, a front fascia that’s reportedly a bit more aerodynamic, new suspension tuning, and blue accent lighting for the tachometer. Bluetooth phone connectivity is now standard, as is a back-up camera, which was previously a $600 option.
Stepping up to the 2013 GT-R Black Edition will set you back a sizable $107,320, which is a little more than $11,000 more than equivalent 2012 models. As was the case last year, Black Edition models adds unique black-finished aluminum wheels sourced from RAYS, unique black and red interior trim, and black Recaro seating with red accents. For 2013, Black Edition models also receive the same updates as Premium cars, but also receive a new dry-finish carbon fiber rear wing.
According to Nissan’s official pricing document, options are few. A cold weather package, available only on the Premium model, adds all-season tires and a winter coolant mix at no extra charge. Nissan’s eight-stage Super Silver paint still adds about $3000 to the price tag, while plush carpeted floor mats with GT-R emblems add an extra $280.
