2013 Ford Mustang Performs J-Turns and Rockfords on First Episode of J-Turn

It’s the second season of Motor Trend’s YouTube channel and a new show, The J-Turn, debuts with host Jessi Lang. The first episode is all about the stunt from which the show is named, and she gets some help from a 2013 Ford Mustang, a Dodge Challenger, and Roadkill host David Freiburger.

Freiburger starts the episode by distinguishing J-Turns from Rockfords, two commonly mixed-up maneuvers. He uses a toy 1969 Chevy Camaro for his demonstration and professes his expertise in both maneuvers thanks to years of practice in rental cars. We’ll let you watch the video to discover the differences between the tricks, but here’s a hint: one is done traveling in reverse and the other begins by going forward.  And by the look on the hosts’ faces, both tricks are fun.

At the end, Freiburger shows off his best Smokey and the Bandit impersonation with a Dodge Challenger and provides a short evaluation of Lang’s performance. Watch the full video – complete with slow-motion shots of the Mustang and Challenger in action – below.
