We just got our first look at the 2013 Aston Martin AM310 Vanquish, and it didn’t take long for the British automaker to put up an online configurator for the upcoming DBS replacement. With this new customizer tool, prospective Vanquish buyers and hopeless dreamers alike can style their fantasy Vanquish to their hearts’ content.
So far, the Vanquish configurator only allows you to choose your exterior options, but with 28 paint options, a choice of standard or carbon fiber trim, two wheel styles in five finishes, and five brake caliper options, one could waste the better part of a day configuring their perfect Aston Martin Vanquish. Carbon fiber trim shows well against lighter paint colors, which also seem to show off the new grand tourer’s creased body lines and curves better.
The new Vanquish will replace the DBS in Aston’s lineup when it goes on sale later this year in Europe, and early next year in the U.S. Thanks to a judicious use of carbon fiber the new Vanquish weighs approximately 150 pounds less than the DBS, while the revamped 5.9-liter V-12 makes about 55 more horsepower for a total of 565 under-hood horses.
