2012 Scion xD Starts at $16,075, Now With Standard HD Radio and Bluetooth

Scion released pricing for the 2012 xD yesterday. The five-door urban subcompact starts at $16,075 for the five-speed manual and $16,875 when equipped with the four-speed automatic transmission. Prices including a destination and processing fee of $730.

Bluetooth hands-free phone connectivity and Bluetooth streaming audio (from compatible phones or personal media devices such as an iPod), and HD Radio are now standard fare for the 2012 xD. The factory-equipped Pioneer audio system features a 160-watt amplifier, USB port, AUX port, and subwoofer RCA output.  Portable music devices plugged into the USB port display information on the head unit’s display. A 200-watt Pioneer Premium audio system featuring a 5.8-inch LCD touch-screen display is optional. It includes six RCA outputs to allow installation of multiple amplifiers.

The xD comes standard with  popular convenience and safety features such as: power steering, windows, door locks and mirrors; remote keyless entry; air conditioning; four-wheel anti-lock brakes (ABS) with Electronic Brake Distribution (EBD) and Brake Assist (BA);  stability and traction control; a tire pressure monitor system; driver and front-passenger dual-stage airbags; front-seat-mounted side airbags; front and rear side-curtain airbags; cruise control; a first-aid kit; and a tilt steering wheel with audio controls.
