2011 Kia Sorento Priced at $20,790

Although production of the 2011 Kia Sorento is already in full swing down in West Point, Georgia, the automaker just unveiled the crossover’s pricing today. A base Sorento will sticker for $20,790, including a $795 destination charge.

That price buys you a Sorento powered by a 175-hp, 2.4-liter I-4, sending power to the front wheels via a six-speed manual transmission. Bluetooth phone connectivity, Sirius satellite radio, and steering wheel audio controls — typically premium options — are all standard features on the Sorento.

Those wanting either an automatic transmission (or all-wheel-drive) will need to step into a Sorento LX model. Apart from the six-speed automatic transaxle, the LX model also adds body-colored heated mirrors, and starts at $23,190. Adding all-wheel drive pushes the price to $24,890.

The range-topping EX adds fog lamps (optional on the LX), 18-inch wheels, dual-zone climate control, rear sonar, push button start, and traction control. When equipped with the four-cylinder, a front-wheel-drive EX starts at $25,390, while the all-wheel-drive model stickers for $27,990.

Those looking for a little more power can also spring for Kia’s 276-hp, 3.5-liter V-6 in EX models. In two-wheel-drive form, the EX V-6 starts at $27,990. All-wheel-drive EX V-6 models begin at $29,690.

Look for 2011 Sorentos to arrive at dealers nationwide in January 2010.
