Although a number of news outlets suggested the U.S. launch of the 2010 Audi A5 and S5 Cabriolets would be delayed, we’re elated to learn that’s not the case.
Following a conversation with an Audi spokesperson, we’ve learned that the first batch of A5 and S5 Cabriolets are still expected to arrive this fall. While that’s a bit too late for us Michiganders to fully enjoy the benefits of a convertible, it’s not any later than Audi originally planned.
A5 Cabriolets will arrive with either a 211-hp, 2.0-liter turbocharged I-4 or a 265-hp, 3.2-liter V-6. 2010 S5 Cabriolets will use the coupe’s 354-hp, 4.2-liter V-8, but will switch to the S4’s supercharged 3.0-liter V-6 beginning in 2011.
