The 2006 Detroit auto show is going to be an orgy of classic muscle car rehashes that could appear in showrooms by 2008 if show-goers are amply enthusiastic. DaimlerChrysler easily could produce the , as the concept is based on the successful LX platform that already underlies the Dodge Magnum and Charger and the Chrysler 300C. The concept (which is based on GM sister division Pontiac‘s Solstice or GTO, according to various sources) is a bit less of a sure thing because the company lacks a ready-to-go platform that’s cost-effective, modern, and suitably large.
