I still absolutely adore the Boxster S; it’s easily in the top-five of my Favorite New Cars List. Strangely, this car seems ever so slightly softer/squishier than our dearly departed 4S example. I’m not a huge fan of this color combo, either.
The Boxster isn’t about the looks, though–it’s about the driving, and I love the throaty sound of this mid-mounted six (which also happens to offer a near-perfect amount of everyday power). Factor in the good-almost-great, snicky gearbox; the dual cargo “trunks;” the mid-20s fuel economy … Seriously, I could disappear for weeks at a time.
