2008 Mercedes-Benz CLK-class

If the CLK63 convertible is a little bit crazy, than the new race-inspired CLK63 AMG Black Series coupe is downright insane. Along with a long list of tweaks and changes to the “standard” CLK63, it adds 25 ponies to the already plentiful 475 hp V-8. When we got behind the wheel earlier this year, we were blown away – more than just a big motor in a little car, the Black Series represents a top-to-bottom re-engineering effort from AMG.

Drivers who aren’t interested in that sort of bleeding-edge performance can still choose from the more pedestrian CLK550 and CLK350, in both coupe and convertible forms. This year the CLK350 comes equipped with a standard sport suspension and new twin-spoke eighteen-inch wheels.
