Preview: 2008 Ford Shelby GT Convertible

ON SALE: NOW / $40,000 (EST.)

Last year, Carroll Shelby teamed with Ford to create the Shelby GT coupe – a nonrental version of Hertz’s GT-H rental car. This year, the GT coupe is back, and it’s been joined by a convertible. Like the coupe, the ragtop comes standard with a 319-hp, 4.6-liter V-8 and a five-speed manual with a Hurst short-throw shifter; a five-speed automatic is optional. A vista blue exterior with silver stripes is a new option. Shelby GT production for 2008 will be limited to only 2300 cars total, so reserve your copy now.
