The MKS picks up where the Continental left off when it was replaced by the all-but-unknown LS. Based on the Ford Five Hundred, this concept previews a production car due out as a 2007 or 2008 model. Don’t expect the LED headlights, glass roof, or twenty-inch wheels to make it past Ford‘s accounting office, but we expect that the 315-hp 4.4-liter V-8, all-wheel drive, and 6-speed automatic will. The MKS is attractive but looks vaguely Japanese and clearly is not as stunning as the Continental show car from 2002. While Cadillac is making headway, Lincoln is still struggling to redefine its brand image.
