The corollary of this is that there isn’t much downforce in this mode, so cornering is discouraged. Regardless of the selected drive program, the Veyron accelerates like a stuck pig on diet pills, thanks to its 8.0-liter, sixteen-cylinder, quad-turbo engine that produces 987 horsepower and 922 lb-ft of torque. Zero to 60 mph blurs by in well under three seconds.
