2006 Peugeot 908RC Concept

It’s big, it’s funky, and it’s French. It also has a 700-hp diesel V-12 under the hood. Peugeot‘s 908 RC concept is powered by a version of the Big French Lion’s upcoming Le Mans racing diesel. Torque is in excess of 845 lb-ft, and the V-12’s included angle (the number of degrees between its cylinder heads) is an astoundingly wide 100 degrees. That V-12 is also mounted transversely, in the middle rear of the car, allowing the 908’s trunk to be extremely large.

The 908 RC will almost certainly never see production, and some people surely will call it ugly, but that doesn’t mean we don’t think it’s very, very cool.
