The M5 was one of the most exciting debuts at Geneva. It was driven on-stage by famed racing driver Hans-Joachim Stuck, and then it was wheeled away quickly before the presentation was over, leaving another M5 with darkened windows on a platform. We were unable to see inside the car, but the exterior looks every bit like it’s ready for production, even though BMW billed this M5 as a concept. The actual production car likely will be unveiled at the Paris show this September, but we probably won’t see it until fall 2005. The latest M5 promises to be worth the wait: Under the hood will be a stonking V-10 engine making at least 500 horsepower.
