Tesla is currently working on an electric luxury sports sedan as well, known as the Model S, which will be introduced in 2012. A third, and properly affordable electric sports car is planned for 2012 as well, codenamed "BlueStar." The first Tesla dealership opened in Los Angeles, CA in April 2008, with a second following quickly in Menlo Park, California in July 2008. Showrooms and service centers are planned worldwide. For the unitiated, the firm is named for electrical engineer and physicist-genius Nikola Tesla.
