2006 BMW 3-series Sedan

BMW's new 3-series has been on sale since early summer, and it's good. Very good. The car is a bit larger and roomier, but weight gain is minimal. A new magnesium and aluminum 3.0-liter straight six comes in 215-hp (325i) and 255-hp (330i) strengths. Choose from manual or Steptronic transmissions. Active Steering is offered but unnecessary. The Sport package gets you eighteen-inch wheels (on the 330i), and nav gets you iDrive. All-wheel drive arrives this fall.
