Research the 2008 Scion xD

Go
ON SALE: NOW / $15,170 The xD takes over for the xA as Scion's cheapest model, but unlike the redesigned xB, the xD stays close to the brand's original mission to offer a small, economical, inexpensive car. Sales of the xA always trailed those of its boxy sibling, which explains why Toyota had no qualms about ditching the xA nameplate in favor of xD and why the xD also has adopted a squared-off look. The xD is based on the Toyota Yaris platform and has a 128-hp, 1.8-liter four-cylinder engine. The roomier new interior puts the gauges in front of the driver, adds optional navigation, and (of course) has a standard CD player with iPod adapter. The only factory options are paint color, transmission (four-speed auto or five-speed stick), audio, and wheel covers. Everything else is an accessory, which is typical of Scion.
