Research the 2008 Infiniti G37

Go
ON SALE: NOW / $34,000 (est.) It might look like little more than a swoopier, slightly angrier version of the old G35 coupe, but Infiniti's new G37 represents a much larger step forward for the Japanese luxury brand. As you'd expect, the higher number in the G37's name denotes a larger-displacement engine--the venerable VQ-series 3.5-liter V-6 from the G35 sedan has been stroked to3.7 liters for coupe duty. Output rises to330 hp and 270 lb-ft of torque (up from the 3.5-liter's 280 hp and 270 lb-ft), giving the G37 tire-shredding thrust similar to that of its main competitor, the BMW 335i. The added power isn't the only major change. The previous G35 coupe's gruff, rough-and-tumble personality has been replaced by a calmer, quieter, and more refined sensibility. Steering feel has been vastly improved, as has interior quality. And while the G37 isn't quite as rewarding overall as its Bavarian competition, its chassis and damper tuning are nevertheless exemplary. Good-looking new sheetmetal, more power, and nimble reflexes?
