2008 Ford Escape

The 2008 Ford Escape, making its debut at the 2006 Los Angeles Auto Show, is completely redesigned. Ford didn't want to mess with a good thing though--the Escape has been the best-selling small SUV since its introduction--so you'll see nothing radical here. The new design is decidedly more butch with a stronger resemblance to its bigger brothers, the Explorer and Expedition, and the Escape now boasts six air bags as standard. As with the current model, the new Escape will be available with one of three powertrains: a 153-hp in-line four, a 155-hp gas/electric hybrid, and a 200-hp V-6.
