The redesign of Audi's range-topping sedan doesn't take a dramatic leap, but then, it didn't have to. The A8 was already among the most advanced machines in its rarefied class. The new eight-speed automatic transmission, all-LED headlamps, and unique touch-pad driver interface just put more icing on the cake.
BMW's much-admired mid-size sedan has been been treated to a handsome redesign for 2011, but changes run more than skin-deep. The new turbocharged six and eight-speed automatic, in particular, combine sport-sedan performance with surprising efficiency.
At long last, the big Jaguar sedan looks as modern outside as it is inside. An advanced, aluminum-intensive construction helps make this big cat as lithe as it is luxurious-and it is very luxurious indeed.
The perils of borrowing a 2009 Maserati Quattroporte Sport GT S for vacationing in Rome with Jean Jennings.
John Heinricy pilots a 2008 Cadillac CTS-V to a record-breaking lap of the Nurburgring’s Nordschleife. Cadillac says the time of 7:59:32 makes this the quickest production-spec sedan riding on stock tires around the ‘Ring.
For your listening pleasure, we did a through-the-gears dyno run to hear just what the BMW 335i sounds like in a drag race. The bonus? This run actually resulted in the highest horsepower number of the day.
Audi surprised us at the 2005 Tokyo motor show with an all-new 450 hp S8 that promises to be one of the quickest, smoothest, and most luxurious Audis ever made. Automobile Magazine Senior Editor Joseph DeMatio takes us around the new super-sedan.
The world's best-selling luxury car is all new for 2006. Mark Gillies sorts through the endless acronyms and tells us if the new Mercedes-Benz S-class lives up to the hype.
Months before its U.S. on sale date, we've managed to run off with BMW's new twin turbo 335i for a quick test on a dynamometer. The results were surprising. Listen to the sound of that beautiful engine! Watch the video here, and check out our pictures and story in the news section of the site.
Though the 2009 BMW 750i and the 750Li don't appeal to our eyes, visually, the way that the Mercedes S-class does, the new 7-series has a lot of tricks up its sleeve. With more gadgets, gizmos, bells, and whistles than your average electronics megastore, the 7-series is as much about its electronics as it is about driving.
