Review: 2005 Scion tC Photo Gallery
Toyota launched the youth-targeted Scion brand with two distinctive vehicles transplanted from Japan, the xA and xB, but the range gains depth for 2005 with the exclusive tC sport coupe. The heir to the Celica is a more complete and mature take on the sport compact segment, offering more torque, space, and dealer options. This is a boundary-pushing car at an affordable price point that will delight bargain shoppers. more

Review: 2006 Scion xB Photo Gallery
Seeking to lure younger, hipper buyers into its future owners group, Toyota launched its free-thinking Scion sub-brand in 2004 with the xA and xB. Although both high-value, high-utility offerings share key powertrain and chassis elements with the recently gone and easily forgotten Toyota Echo, the xB wraps them in far more unconventional trappings. more

Scion t2b Concept Photo Gallery
Designed at Toyota's Calty Design Studio in Newport Beach, California, the t2b--for "Tall Two-Box"--concept takes everything Scion knows about being hip, cutting-edge, and cool and combines it in one package. The exterior design is partially attributed to senior designer Jin Kim, who was also responsible for the Toyota FJ Cruiser and Lexus LF-C concepts. Interesting details include a single, offset foglamp up front (it illuminates with the strength of two) and a correspondingly lonely reverse more

2008 Scion xB and xD Photo Gallery
No, the picture you see here is not the new Scion xB. It's the t2B concept first shown at the 2005 New York auto show, a vehicle that we're told closely resembles the '08 xB that will hit the stage on February 8 at McCormick Place in Chicago. A second car, called xD, will follow the second-generation toaster car our onto that stage. Like the xA it replaces, the xD will look like a slightly more aerodynamic xB. The outgoing Scions are based on the old Toyota Echo platform, so we can guess that more

2005 Scion tC Photo Gallery
Scion's marketing strategy to date has centered on building word-of-mouth buzz among urban Gen Y trend leaders. The division promoted its first two cars, the xA and the xB, at break-dance tours and graffiti-artist exhibitions. That the "You don't understand me, Dad!" xB has been the bigger seller indicates that Scion buyers do indeed skew to the Dennis Rodman side of the individuality scale. more

Scion Xa & Xb Photo Gallery
For Toyota dealers, trying to attract America's hip and happening sixteen-to-twenty-four-year-old crowd must feel like fishing without bait. The automaker may be a big fish among family sedans and sport-utility vehicles, but when it comes to cars that turn on Net-savvy subthirties, no one's biting. more
