Opel Vectra OPC Photo Gallery
This is the sportiest version of Opel's best-selling mid-size sedan, using a 252-hp, turbocharged 2.8-liter V-6 engine (a derivation of the Cadillac CTS's base engine) mated to a six-speed manual transmission. Opel claims a top speed of 161 mph, which is none too shabby for a family sedan, as well as 0-to-60-mph acceleration in less than seven seconds. more

Visions of William B. Travis, Davy Crockett, and Jim Bowie fighting to the death at the Alamo in 1836 linger while we cruise and climb northwestward from San Antonio, Texas. The really inspirational driving starts in Bandera-"Cowboy Capital of the World"-where the Frontier Times Museum merits a visit.
