2012 Lincoln MKT
2012 Lincoln MKT
Lincoln entered the luxury crossover segment in 2010 with the all-new MKT, and the big ute hasn't changed much in the intervening two years. The MKT, which is essentially a Ford Flex in Lincoln garb, still offers buyers three rows of seats, a mass of interior space, and a host of luxury amenities such as adaptive cruise control, a head-up display, adaptive HID headlamps, and a collision-warning system with brake support. Ford's Sync system is available on the MKT and now comes with a three-year prepaid subscription to the system's premium services. Hiding behind Lincoln's signature split-wing grille is Ford's 268-hp, 3.7-liter V-6, which comes standard on front-wheel-drive models. Those wanting an upgrade to all-wheel drive will find Ford's 3.5-liter twin-turbo EcoBoost V-6, which produces a hefty 355 hp and 350 lb-ft of torque. A six-speed SelectShift automatic transmission with paddle shifters mounted to the steering wheel and optimized final-drive gearing allow the MKT to achieve up to 17 mpg in the city and 24 mpg on the highway on the EPA test cycle. Extensive suspension engineering and special sound deadening enhance the luxurious feel for all three rows. The MKT combines a luxury experience with the muscle of Class III towing when properly equipped.
2012 Lincoln MKT Livery Stretch Front Three Quarter
If you’re not well heeled enough to afford a ride in, say, an Audi R8 Limo, we might suggest finding a more economical, more American option; we might suggest the Lincoln MKT Livery, which will now be coming in stretch limousine form.
2012 Lincoln Detroit Show Stand
Ford’s premium brand Lincoln has previewed its show stand for next week’s Detroit show, and judging from the looks of it, the brand is definitely aiming for an upscale image in the design of its display.
Max Wolff Lincoln Video
In about a year, Max Wolff has quietly shaken things up at Lincoln in his position as design director. Wolff’s influence can be felt in the designs of the 2013 MKT crossover and MKS sedan, two Lincoln models that debuted at last week’s L.A. auto show. In this video, the former Cadillac design chief discusses how new technologies are helping to shape Lincoln’s design direction.
2013 Lincoln MKT Front Three Quarter 2
You’re forgiven if you are not all that familiar with the Lincoln MKT. Fewer than 8000 examples of the three-row crossover were sold in all of 2010, giving the MKT the dubious honor of being Lincoln’s slowest-selling product last year. Regardless of its showroom performance, the 2013 MKT on display at the Los Angeles auto show receives a mild visual facelift and improved mechanicals.
2011 Lincoln MKT1
The Lincoln MKT has never been a hot seller, but in order to try and regain some sales momentum, Lincoln announced today that the 2012 MKT with EcoBoost will now be priced $3000 less than the 2011 model.

Recall Date
Ford Moor Company (Ford) is recalling certain model year 2011-2012 Ford Fusion vehicles without a 3.5L engine and Lincoln MKZ hybrid electric vehicles, 2011 Mercury Milan vehicles, 2011-2012 Ford Taurus, Ford Flex, Lincoln MKS, and Lincoln MKT vehicles equipped with a 3.5L GTDI engine and 2013 Ford Taurus, Ford Flex, Lincoln MKS, and Lincoln MKT vehicles equipped with any available engine. The affected vehicles have electric power steering assist systems that may shut down as a result of a steering motor sensor fault.
If the vehicle experiences a loss of power steering assist, extra steering effort will be required at lower speeds, increasing the risk of a vehicle crash.
Ford will notify owners, and dealers will check the Power Steering Control Module (PSCM) for Diagnostic Trouble Codes (DTC). If dealers find any loss of steering assist DTCs, the steering gear will be replaced, free of charge. If, no codes are found during the PSCM inspection, the PSCM software will be updated, free of charge. The recall began on July 21, 2015. Owners may contact Ford customer service at 1-866-436-7332. Ford's number for this recall is 15S18.
