Mitsubishi Outlander

Research the Mitsubishi Outlander

Go
The redesigned Outlander goes on sale in Japan just before the Tokyo Show on October 17. Mitsubishi will then ship it to Europe and Australia, and America will see it first at next April's New York auto show. It will go on sale in the U.S. sometime in 2006. The 183-inch Outlander is the first Mitsubishi to go on sale using the company's all-new GS platform. Power is supplied by the same 168-hp 2.4-liter MIVEC sixteen-valve engine that appears in the D:5 concept. The Outlander has a six-speed CVT, three-mode AWC (All Wheel Control) all-wheel drive, and electronic stability control. Seating for five or seven passengers means the Outlander is ready for American shores, and PSA (Peugeot/Citron) will develop its own SUV based on this Outlander for Europe in 2007.
