Zagato Takes Wraps Off Alfa Romeo TZ3 Corsa at Villa D’Este Concours

Italian design firm Zagato fully unveiled its prized Alfa Romeo TZ3 at this past weekend's Villa d'Este Concours d'Elegance in Italy. We were first teased on the concept a few weeks ago.

Like the original Alfa Romeo TZs of yore, the modern-day TZ3 Corsa is built to hit apexes with vigor. Molded from a carbon-fiber chassis, tubular frame, and lightweight aluminum body, the TZ3 weighs in at 1900 pounds. Traditional Alfa styling cues, including the low-slung nose and cutoff tail, mimic the venerable TZ1 and TZ2 racecars. And like the original racers, Zagato designed the TZ3 Corsa as an actual race vehicle, giving it Ohlins suspension, a 6-speed sequential transmission, and a 4.2-liter, dry-sump, 414-horsepower V-8. These features help propel the retro-cool coupe from 0 to 62 mph in under 3.5 seconds and attain a top speed over 186 mph.
