If you have ever wanted to travel across the country but didn’t have a reliable car to do it in, Nissan may be able to solve your problem and help you get on the road in a 2012 Versa sedan.
This week, Nissan launched a contest that lets users map out their own road trip by selecting routes and destinations anywhere in the country. Then, in 104 words or less -- 104 is the cubic feet of space in the 2012 Versa sedan -- entrants describe their journey and share why their online adventure should be made into a real one. The ultimate road trip becomes complete once contestants select a soundtrack and tags up to three Facebook friends to join the expedition.
Six winners will be announced on November 14 and get a 2012 Versa sedan for their four-day, three-night road trip. Travelers are expected to document their trip with updates, tweets, images, and best of all, with stop-motion cameras inside and out each Versa. Each mini-movie will then be shown in an online film festival in January 2012, where one film will be chosen as the winner.
Adam Carolla is also getting in on the action. Tonight’s podcast episode of the “Adam Carolla Show,” will be changed to “The Adam Versa” show and feature Nissan’s director of website and social media marketing with further details on the contest.
