Visitors to Porsche’s Leipzig factory can now watch 2010 Porsche Panameras and Cayennes roll off the assembly line.
Porsche’s Leipzig factory was under renovation for the last eight months, undergoing a 237,000-square-foot expansion. The factory originally produced the successful Cayenne SUV, but the expansion was done to add room for a Panamera production line as well. While Porsche faithful may love to visit a factory, they will likely balk at seeing the two models that have led Porsche from its roots.
Tours of the facility are free and last around two hours. In addition to tours of the facility, visitors can book “pilot and co-pilot offers,” where participants are given the chance to experience driving a Cayenne on a racetrack or on the off-road premises.
