Although we already knew about the new Jetta TDI Cup Street Edition, Volkswagen revealed two additional special-edition V-Dubs -- the New Beetle Red Rocks and the CC R-line -- are making their way to U.S. dealers.
Similar to the R-model offered in Europe, the CC R-line adds an elegant full body kit, 18-inch "Mallory" wheels, and smoked taillamps. R-line emblems can be found on the front fenders, along with the aluminum door sill plates. Pricing for a 6-speed manual CC R-line starts at $30,390, including $800 for destination.
Volkswagen's already celebrating the final year of this iteration of the Bug with the "Final Edition" models, but the new Red Rocks model hopes to lure more enthusiasts and collectors out of the woodwork. A two-tone exterior paint scheme features a special "Red Rock" metallic color on the body, while its roof is blacked out. Sport suspension, 17-inch wheels, and a black interior round out the upgrades. Only 750 examples will be produced, and pricing is expected to start at $21,140, including $750 in destination charges.
To celebrate its successful diesel racing series, VW's offering the TDI Cup Street Edition. Large 18-inch "Charleston" aluminum wheels are wrapped in high-performance rubber, and are coupled with the more potent brakes and suspension parts found on the Jetta GLI. The body kit is the same used on the TDI Cup race cars, but power from the 2.0-liter turbo-diesel I-4 stays at 140 hp and 236 lb.-ft. of torque. Pricing for the TDI Cup Street starts at $25,740, including destination.
