As 2012 Toyota RAV4s start trickling into dealerships for its official on-sale date tomorrow, the automaker has decided to announce pricing information a day in advance. The base RAV4 with a four-speed automatic start at $23,460 (including $810 destination fee).
Topping the range is the $29,460 RAV4 Limited with a V-6 and four-wheel drive, which represents a $135 decrease. The RAV4 is available in three trim levels (RAV4, Sport, and Limited) and can be had with a 3.5-liter V-6 paired with a five-speed automatic instead the run-of-the-mill 2.5-liter four-cylinder. While Limited models receive a $135 decrease, base and Sport models get a $175 price bump. All RAV4 models receive a new standard audio system for 2012 that has hands-free capability, phone book access, and Bluetooth music streaming. New for Limited models is an optional 6.1-inch screen with navigation and Toyota's Entune system.
The Prius, slated to arrive in January 2012, will start at $24,760 (includes $760 destination fee), while the Prius Five will cost $30,565. Refreshed for 2012, the Prius now has a revised front fascia, tail lamps, 15-inch wheels, and LED daytime running lights. Inside, a 6.1-inch display screen with Bluetooth for hands-free calling and streaming music is standard. The Prius Three adds more with navigation, Entune, and rear backup camera, while the Prius Four gets an upgraded audio system.
