To celebrate its 150 years of existence, TAG Heuer teamed up with Tesla Motors to craft a one-off Roadster. The unique EV is set to be unveiled at this week's Geneva motor show.
"TAG Heuer has a rich history and expertise with the world's most prestigious racing teams -- but this is the first ever partnership we've forged with an electric sports car company," said Jean-Christophe Babain, CEO of TAG Heuer.
The unique Roadster features a host of TAG Heuer emblems, with a side graphic displaying the inner workings of the company's timepieces. The design features red mirror covers, calipers, and striped rims on the driver's side, while the same equipment is featured in green on the passenger's side.
Based on the TAG Heuer "cutting edge concept watch," the Tesla Roadster is painted in Foucault Field Gray, tying in themes from both companies. A limited-edition stopwatch is featured inside the car, alongside a special edition TAG Heuer mobile phone.
"Engineers at both TAG Heuer and Tesla understand intuitively that technology -- whether worn on your wrist or driven on the road -- can help us live better while we tread more lightly on this planet," said Elon Musk, CEO of Tesla Motors.
Following the Geneva motor show, the car will be driven to the annual Baselworld watch show in Basel, Switzerland, where TAG Heuer will launch a new watch concept on March 18.
