Supercharged “Hurst Hemi Hauler” Ram Pickup in the Works

Your old tow rig just not cool enough to haul your Hurst/Olds to the track? How about a new Hurst “Hemi Hauler” Ram pickup?

“We’ve talked about doing a high-performance truck a number of times,” said Nate Shelton, President and Chairman of Hurst Performance Vehicles. “With the help of our very dedicated dealer network, we’ve found enough customer interest to make this project feasible and look forward to welcoming a whole new type of enthusiast to the Hurst family.”

“Enough customer interest” translates to a limited run of just 50 trucks, so if we’ve piqued your interest, you’ll want to act quickly. Don’t sign the check quite yet, though, as Hurst hasn’t announced the price. The truck in the rendering and starting point for the Hemi Hauler is a rear wheel-drive Ram 1500 R/T Sport Regular Cab which packs the 5.7-liter V-8 and starts at $31,715. By the time Hurst is done with it, and given the limited run, it’s likely to cost quite a bit more.

What you’ll get in return for the zeros on your check is a supercharger filling the lungs of the Hemi V-8, for starters. Match that with a custom exhaust system and you’ll likely experience far more than the 390 horsepower and 407 pound-feet of torque that come stock, though Hurst hasn’t said how much more just yet.

The rest of the work is cosmetic. On the outside, you’ll get the full package of Hurst graphics and front and rear badges over the white paint. The stock 22-inch wheels remain, but the spokes will feature either gold or red accents as you prefer it. Inside, you’ll get custom seats with red stitching and Hurst logos embroidered on the head rests, along with embroidered floor mats. You’ll even get a signature Hurst “Pistol-Grip” anodized billet aluminum shifter…on your automatic transmission. Like any good custom vehicle, the Hemi Hauler is finished off with a metal dash plate testifying to the truck’s authenticity, along with the signatures of the Hurst team on the dash and a paper certificate.

For now, all we have for you are these renderings with your two wheel options. The first Hemi Hauler has just rolled into the Hurst shop and is undergoing its transformation as you read this, so we should have more for you in the near future.
