There appears to be a leak in the house of Bertone. Photos of the Alfa Romeo Pandion show car, which was crafted by Stile Bertone to celebrate Alfa’s centennial, have made their way to the Internet ahead of its official debut at the Geneva motor show in March.
Courtesy of French enthusiast blog Unica Strada, we bring you these first pictures of the Pandion, believed to be named after the Latin genus of the osprey, a predatory bird. Built from an Alfa Romeo 8C Competizione platform, the Pandion keeps the donor car’s potent 450-horsepower V-8, but saddles it with only 2200-pounds to pull around, no doubt making for a spirited drive.
The wildly styled Pandion, with its futuristic take on the classic Alfa grille and a rear end that looks like it’s going to warp, is meant to be a celebration of Alfa’s centennial this year. We’ll learn more when it officially debuts in Switzerland in less than two weeks.
