Stand and Look Pretty: Nissan Shows Off Images of the Juke-R

Nissan has been teasing us with its ludicrous Juke-R concept. But then again, few of us can get enough of a Nissan Juke that has been stuffed with the mechanicals from a GT-R. To help further sate our appetites, Nissan has released new photos of the finished car as well as a clip of the Frankenstein-ed crossover’s engine revving. The Juke-R is a project by Nissan’s European Technology Center and the RML racing team. They took the 3.8-liter twin-turbocharged V-6 and six-speed dual-clutch transmission from the GT-R, and literally stuffed it under the body of a Juke, creating an insane all-wheel drive crossover good for 480 hp. Oh, and even though it’s only a concept, it’s street-legal. Also carried over from the GT-R is the sports car’s gauge cluster, Polyphony-developed infotainment screen, 20-inch forged RAYS alloy wheels, steering wheel, and center stack. Helping to make the Juke-R stand out are hugely flared fenders, a split rear wing, and twin octagonal pentagonal exhaust outlets. Nissan is still working on testing the crazy crossover, but can’t seem to wait to show it off, having released a full gallery of images and the first video clip of the snarling engine note. Only two Juke-Rs will be made: one with left-hand drive, and another with right-hand drive. Make sure to check out the gallery and video clip of the Juke-R showing off below.
